EmpowerEd is an online tutoring platform dedicated to helping students of all levels.
We offer personalised, highly effective English and Maths tuition. We also provide English Language instruction for all ages, including adult learners, specialising in business English and conversational fluency.
Shelly is a New Zealand registered teacher with more than 15 years experience, both in primary and secondary schools. She specialises in learning support, designing and delivering programmes for students with different learning styles and SLD needs. She is also an experienced teacher of English to speakers of other languages (ESOL) and holds the Cambridge CELTA qualification.
Before becoming a teacher, Shelly was graphic and instructional designer, with over 20 years of industry experience gained in London and New Zealand.
Shelly's expertise in these areas has allowed her to develop a unique skill set that combines creative approaches with an understanding of how people process information and learn. She is passionate about using her skills to support and enhance the learning experiences of students and to help individuals and organisations achieve their goals through effective learning design and training.
